It's waxy and aromatic, with sappy notes alongside oatmeal, citrus and wet stone. The palate is floral, layered and effortlessly nuanced, the one-third new oak enhancing its complexity. Assuming this modifies, this will become an excellent Chevalier because the wine displays the racy intensity of the vineyard and excellent persistence. Slight sweet and sour at the moment. (Jul 2021)"
